Since 1997, Alternatives Unlimited (AU) has partnered with urban and suburban school districts throughout the United States to provide high quality, cost-effective educational opportunities to the most challenging students. Schools now serve diverse populations in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina,
Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. |
Our Mission: To motivate and instruct
"at-risk" students, including those who
have not been successful in a regular
school setting, including those identified
as emotionally disturbed or behavior disordered, in safe, orderly, and
academically challenging enviroments. |
The Alternatives Unlimited program is a full day that conforms to the local district school calendar. Times, however, may vary from the schedules of the local schools. Extended day, week and year programs may be offered. |
Our Philosophy: Alternatives Unlimited
schools operate on the simple philosophy
that all students can learn, although they
may learn in different ways on different days. |
AU WELCOMES NEW DISTRICTS!! |
It is the school's
responsibility - and
AU's mission - to
diagnose and
address those
differences. |
AU provides small
classes, individual
instruction and the
use of quality resources, including online computer labs. |
| Alternatives Unlimited welcomes the El Paso Independent School District in Texas. AU is partnering with the EPISD in the 2008-2009 academic year to operate a Drop Back In Academy. |
| AU extends a warm welcome to Martin County Public Schools in North Carolina, joining AU's more than 30 Drop Back In Academies on the East Coast in the 2008-2009 academic year. |
All state and local instuctional
standards are met. |
